Anahi Meyer
We created Otis conceptually and built him in a group work during my 3rd Semester of studies.
This pirate robot was part of 2011's cocktail robotics fair Roboexotica in Vienna.
My role in that group work was mostly the planing and contruction of the set, but also the monitoring of the interaction between the visitors of the fair and the installation.
What did Otis do?
If visitor(s) jumped/ danced and sang if front of the robot, this one would "vomit" a warm rum cider that the visitor(s) had to catch in there glasses.
This worked with a system combining a computer, a pump, and a webcam.
