Anahi Meyer
For the second semester of my bachelor studies we had a group work with the task to make an exhibition concept. Together with four colleagues, we wanted to revive old unused space through art and interactive workshops.
Tear High Ink is an exhibition concept about artist Keith Haring, divided thematically in 3 divisions. The title is an anagram of "Keith Haring".
Tear
Symbolizes the sadness before his works and will give the visitors some biographical background.
High
As Haring’s approach to drugs and his party life. High was more chosen as an adjective for the ambiance that his artworks create than Keith's use of drogues, as he didn't use after a time.
In this division there will be the main room of his original art pieces.
Ink
Will take place in the biggest room of the location. There will be workshops and interactive works with the visitors. We believe this is a good approach of Keith's philosophy, as he spread his techniques and ideas without fear of "copy-right".
As for the location, we selected the ex-tobacco factory of Fürstenfeld (Austria).
